As crazy as home sales have been in the Colorado Springs Area in 2021 the rental market has been, as the kids say it, “extra”.  The area rental market this year has been, to say the least, very competitive, and like any industry when demand is high prices increase.

Here is a breakdown of the 2021 median rental prices in the Colorado Springs area according to RentData.org:

2021 saw an almost 5% average increase in median rent prices over 2020.  In 2022 we will see a 7% increase in rental prices over 2021 in the Colorado Springs area.

As of today the median rental cost of the current 3 bedroom 2 bath homes available for rent on the Pikes Peak Multiple Listing Service is $1895.
